L'animation propose aux enfants de découvrir de manière ludique le travail engagé des artistes Omar Victor Diop et Rosana Paulino, exposé dans les salles du musée en lien avec l'histoire de la traite atlantique. Une visite citoyenne qui se termine par un atelier créatif inspiré des 2 artistes invités !

Les enfants sont confiés par les parents à l'équipe de médiation du château pendant toute la durée de l’animation. Cette animation, non prévue pour les groupes constitués (anniversaires, centres de loisirs...) est limitée à 4 enfant par réservation.

Ghosts wander in the castle...some rooms seem opportune for ghost events. The children have to be alert and vigilant to collect clues and maybe detect their presence with a particular detector.

Les enfants viennent découvrir les mystères de Noël cachés parmi les objets du musée. Ils aident Arsène et Luce, tels des "Hercule Poirot" ou "Miss Marple" en herbe, à retrouver ce qui a bien pu se passer il y a 100 ans...

As Holloween approaches, and the nights starts to fall, the spirits of the castle awake... Who are they? Why are they haunting those places? The visit underlines stories for thrill-seekers children.

The great film makers have always been fascinated by the Middle Ages. Children participate to the creation of a movie on  knights. Scenario, costumes, casting, choices will be necessary. Following the discovery of the exhibition, children let their imagination take over in the trailer of the film.

Ticket available the whole day from 10 am. Throughout its 32 rooms, the history museum showcases over 1,150 objects in its collection.

Access to the museum is free all the first Sunday of every month (except on July ans August), without reservation.

This 90 minute guided tour in English includes an introduction to the history of the castle and a selection of the most iconic rooms in the History Museum. the tour may vary according to the weather, but will always offer insights on the monument as well as a portrait of the city of Nantes alongside the Loire river.

From the 17th century to the 19th century, the Atlantic slave trade has a prominent place into all economic activities in Nantes and contributes to the enrichment of actors of the defense, trading, finance and industry sectors of the city.
